Weed Wrangle Invasive Plant Removal

Saturday, November 16th, 2019 from 9:00am to 12:00pm (ET)

About

Join us in a Weed Wrangle, a nation-wide effort to remove invasive plants in natural areas.  Invasive plants such as asian honeysuckle and callery pear take over a natural area, not allowing native species to thrive.  These invasives don't provide needed food and shelter to wildlife, and therefore severely impact our preserves.  We need YOU to help us in the fight!  Come dressed for the weather.  Gloves and tools will be provided.  Parking is at the Boy Scouts of America office parking lot, but this is the West Entrance to Eagle Marsh Nature Preserve.  A short lesson on how to identify invasives and why it's important to will be given, and then teams will head out to remove invasives.
