Friendly Visitor Volunteer | Meals on Wheels San Antonio (mowsatx.org)
Friendly Visitor is working to combat the loneliness and social isolation that our homebound seniors and disabled neighbors face. With the effort of qualified and trained volunteers, we are going beyond the social interactions that occur with regular meal deliveries. We are supporting our senior neighbors to extend their independence and health as they age. These valuable connections provide our seniors with much-needed companionship.
Join us to improve the physical, emotional, and mental well-being of seniors in the greater San Antonio region!

FRIENDLY CALLERS: Volunteers are matched with at least one senior to call weekly. Volunteers call their senior friend once a week for a wellness check and to have a friendly conversation. This opportunity is perfect for individuals wanting a remote or virtual volunteer experience.

The volunteer will need to create an account and show documentation via email of the calls they completed, with exact dates, times, and screenshots of the work completed. The description of logged impacts in GivePulse will be crucial. For more information about this project and how to sign up, please navigate here: Friendly Visitor Volunteer | Meals on Wheels San Antonio (mowsatx.org)
