About
Utah Open Lands not only protects the lands you love in perpetuity, but also stewards the land to ensure it remains healthy and available to the public for future enjoyment.
We need volunteers to help us reroute a portion of our Lake Lackawaxen Trail. Volunteers will help us build a well defined route that avoids sensitive vegetation and highly eroded areas.
Volunteers are expected to hike 1.75 miles to the restoration site, with the ability to carry hand tools. Utah Open Lands will provide tools for the event however if you have your own it would be helpful for you to bring them. The trail has an incline and is not level footing, so we highly recommend hiking boots or other sturdy shoes.
We recommend at least 2 liters of water, lunch and snacks, long sleeves, sunscreen and a hat to protect yourself from the sun/insects.
This event is expected to take 5 hours. Please meet us at the Bonanza Flat Trail head.
